Call for Support of Two Important ISCLH Fundraising Initiatives

Dear Members and Friends of ISCLH,

We are writing to inform you that following careful consideration and deliberation, the Executive Council of the International Society for Chinese Law and History (ISCLH) has voted unanimously to collaborate with the Aaron Chen Memorial Foundation. The collaboration has also received unanimous support and approval from the ISCLH Board of Directors.

As part of this collaboration, the Aaron Chen Memorial Foundation will help raise fund to create two awards for ISCLH, including a research grant for early career scholars and a book prize. The Executive Council will work with the Foundation on this campaign and finalize more details including the criteria for the grant and prize once the fundraising effort has made substantial progress.

For more information about the two fund-raising initiatives, please refer to the ISCLH email message dated Feb. 23, 2023. For more information about the Aaron Chen Memorial Foundation, please visit its website at https://aaronchenfoundation.org.

We would appreciate it if you could consider donating to these ISCLH awards. Here are the links to the two ISCLH awards:

As a 501c(3) non-profit organization with tax exemption status recognized by the IRS, the New York-based ISCLH can issue tax receipt for non-profit donations to U.S. donors if that is an important consideration for them.

Your donation will go directly into one of the two bank accounts of ISCLH specifically set up for these fund-raising purposes, though to distinguish this from other types of donations to ISCLH, please do specify which initiative you want to support in your message when making the payment. Thank you very much.
